Fever is one of the most common symptoms in babies and toddlers. But which method is truly reliable, and how does MARY do it differently?
The fact is: Babies can't regulate their body temperature very well yet. Therefore, it's important to recognize changes early on and not just rely on snapshots.
• Core body measurement (rectal): very accurate, medical standard – but not always practical.
• Measurement close to the body (in the ear or, as with MARY, on the chest ):
stable, reliable & ideal for everyday use and can be used as an indication.
• Skin measurement (e.g. forehead, wrist):
highly dependent on ambient temperature – rather inaccurate and not recommended for babies.
This is where MARY comes into play:
• Continuous measurement comfortably on pajamas or bodysuit
• Real-time display in the app
• Warning in case of noticeable temperature increases
• Gentle, wireless, and discreet – your baby won't notice. This way, you can detect changes early, before your baby appears restless or feverish.
• Set the alarm in the app to about 0.8 °C lower than the rectal measurement → this will give you an early warning.
• Stay calm and observe: Fever is part of the immune system. Above all, observe how your child behaves.
• Offer fluids: Babies lose a lot of fluids quickly.
• Monitor your fever – if it persists for several hours, get it checked out. Often, a call to your pediatrician is enough.
Imagine: Your baby is sleeping peacefully, you don't have to constantly wake him, and yet you know how he's doing at any time. This is exactly the feeling MARY gives you.
👉 For you this means: less stress, more security and more restful nights.
MARY by sticklett – your smart companion for healthy fever management.
