When a baby is on the way, countless checklists flood into your home. But much of it goes unused. Less is often more: With just a few must-haves like bodysuits, rompers, sleeping bags, and a car seat, you'll be perfectly prepared. Find out what's truly essential and which extras you can easily do without in the beginning.
A few really important things are enough for a good start:
• Clothing: 4–5 bodysuits, 2–3 rompers, 1–2 hats
• Sleep: 1-2 pajamas or sleeping bags , cot with mattress and fitted sheet
• Care: soft changing mat, diapers, wipes, diaper rash cream, muslin cloths, washcloths
• On the go: Baby car seat, stroller or baby carrier.
This ensures your baby is well cared for during the first few weeks.
Sterilizer, heat lamp, baby scale, or loads of toys – these sound practical, but are hardly used in most households. For the beginning, it's much more important to have the basics ready, such as a breast pump or bottle warmer with baby bottles.

Think about it: What things truly make my everyday life easier? Here's a pro tip for you: MARY by sticklett

Temperature and breathing patterns are tracked automatically and are always clearly visible in the app. If you notice anything unusual, you can show the developments directly – even to the doctor. MARY gives you more peace of mind, more peaceful nights, and the comforting feeling of having everything under control without having to constantly check.
