Baby essentials: What do you really need?

When a baby is on the way, countless checklists arrive: from online portals, magazines, or even relatives. But experience shows that many of them remain unused and end up in the closet.

Less is often more – this not only saves space and money, but also nerves.

Must-haves for the first few weeks

A few really important things are enough to get off to a good start:
• Clothing: 4–5 bodysuits, 2–3 rompers, 1–2 hats
• Sleeping: 1-2 pajamas or sleeping bags , cot with mattress and fitted sheet
• Care: soft changing mat, diapers, wet wipes, diaper cream, muslin cloths, washcloths
• On the go: baby seat for the car, stroller or sling
This will ensure your baby is well looked after in the first few weeks.

Nice-to-have, but not a must
